Which Scooby Doo Episode Ties In To “Scoobynatural?” Which Scooby Doo Episode Ties In To “Scoobynatural?”
Parts of the "Scoobynatural" Supernatural crossover tie in to a classic episode of Scooby Doo. Which Scooby Doo Episode Ties In To “Scoobynatural?”

In the excellent Supernatural/Scooby Doo mashup “Scoobynatural” airing Thursday, March 29 on The CW, Sam, Dean, and Scrappy Castiel are brought into the funtastic world of Scooby Doo — and the concept ties in to a classic 1970 episode of the original Scooby Doo, Where Are You? cartoon series.

The episode in question is “A Night of Fright Is No Delight,” and to be fair, some liberties are taken as far as the exterior appearance of the house and character models are updated, but some sequences are directly taken from that original story, including the deceased Colonel Beauregard Sanders, a Col. Sanders who doesn’t have anything to do with chicken. If you catch this episode on DVD or via some sort of streaming, it’s a fun addition to the “Scoobynatural” episode that you’ll be seeing on Thursday night.

Of course the episode is a lot of fun as it is, but with the Winchesters and Cas along, it might be even better. Look out for some unexpected surprises and cameos — or, as Eric Goldman says we should call them, “Scooby snacks.”

“Scoobynatural” airs March 29 on The CW. Take a look at some preview photos below.
