Supernatural #8.10 “Torn and Frayed” Official Description

So we misread… it’s not “Tom and Frayed,” it’s “Torn and Frayed!”

Either way, here’s the official write-up for the January 16 return episode of Supernatural:

CASTIEL MUST SAVE A FELLOW ANGEL   Naomi (guest star Amanda Tapping) tells Castiel (Misha Collins) that Crowley (guest star Mark Sheppard) is holding an angel captive and Castiel must rescue him before Crowley finds out their secrets.  Castiel turns to Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help.  Meanwhile, Sam (Jared Padalecki) meets with Amelia (guest star Liane Balaban) who asks him to make a choice: stay with her or leave and never contact her again.   Robert Singer directed the episode written by Jenny Klein (#110).

  1. So excited for this episode! Kind of dissapointed in amelia for giving Sam that ultimatum though, I really liked her but it sucks she can’t accept a huge chunk of Sam’s life.

  2. Oh my, please let Samandriel be okay! And Cas too. And Amelia should just f—ing get off the show.

  3. Ugh end the Amelia story please. I hope we hear about Benny after that cliffhanger. And it’s about time they got back to the main story of Crowley. There seems a lot of filler episodes this year, even more than usual.

  4. That episode sounds exciting, though at the same time I’m sad it’ll be the only Cas episode for a long time. I also don’t like the ultimatum. I had hoped for Sam and Amelia to work out long term (i.e. not for Sam to stop hunting right now, but maybe at the end of the series if that’s what he wants and having a shot at a lasting relationship). In any case, I’m glad to finally get back to the main plot. I agree there are too many filler episodes this season or at the very least, it feels that way.

  5. No more Amelia please…. she’s boring and the flashbacks a waste of our time. This show is not aired at 3pm in the afternoon. It’s not a soap. Except for duh Samelia, I’m liking season 8.

  6. I don’t even care about wank anymore, I just want Sam to be happy. I really like Amelia and I want Sam to tell her that he’s a hunter. I want Dean to help Cas. I want Cas. DEAN AND CAS. SAM. I want Dean to stop being so depended on his little brother. The silent “minority” should just shut the f*** up. Nobody cares about what you think. Season gr8 is the best season in YEARS. I love everything about it.

  7. WhatYouSeeInTheShadows

Please let this be the end of Amelia. Her story arch is boring and there is no chemistry between her and Sam. As for the rest of the episode description, it sounds great. But Naomi is a little slow… Crowly has had that angel for quite a while now.

  8. God I can’t stand Amelia. And now she’s giving Sam ultimatums?? Sooner she’s gone the better. Not only a horrible character, but boring too! Sounds like a Cas-heavy episode, but I just want to see Sam and Dean sort out their problems!!!

  9. I would be totally ok if Sam stayed with Amelia and it becomes the adventures of Dean, Cas and occasional guest star Benny.

  10. Its ok Nics, she’s slept with Sam, its only a matter of time before she’s cut into tiny pieces while he watches and then we have to hear about it for a season.
