Working in a hush-hush government program has given the Stitchers team access to some pretty out there cases. They’ve dealt with everything from rubber sex dolls to twelve airplane passengers dying at once, from the complicated life of a doomed Chinese pop star to the death of an internet psychic; the very act of stitching into someone’s memories is remarkable (and unusual) enough that, for the most part, the team accepts whatever case is in front of them. After all, there are people out there who would be shocked to know that something like stitching was even a possibility, so incredulity from any of them has been in short supply. But what happens when the team gets its most outlandish case yet?
On the next episode of Stitchers, the team investigates the murder of an ex-Air Force officer who happened to be exploring the possibility that aliens do exist. The search leads them to a former co-worker of the deceased whose expertise when it comes to UFOs makes them begin to wonder whether aliens are a reality that the government has shielded from them. If the general public doesn’t know about something like the stitchers program, there’s bound to be heavier and more controversial information being protected for fear of mass hysteria. Just because the team is in the NSA fold doesn’t mean they know everything going on within the government, particularly when there are so many galaxies and innumerable planets per galaxy. But will the team get definitive proof either way on the existence of aliens from this stitch? And what happens if they realize that there’s concrete evidence that creatures from another planet are a reality?
Elsewhere on Stitchers, Linus attempts to get Camille out of her post-Amanda funk but goes about it the wrong way.
Stitchers airs Mondays at 9:00 on Freeform.
What else do you think the government is hiding from the team and public at large? How will the reconciliation of Kirsten and Cameron impact the team’s performance? Can Linus convince Camille to begin getting over Amanda?
