ABC has released the trailer for divorce comedy Splitting Up Together and in it, we see that the end can sometimes be what a marriage needs in order to reignite.
Based on the Danish series of the same name and adapted for American television by Emily Kapnek (Suburgatory), Splitting Up Together tells the story of Lena (Jenna Fischer) and Martin (Oliver Hudson), a married couple who’ve had enough of their sex-less, joyless union and decide to get a divorce. However, the two will still be living in the same house and co-parenting accordingly, news that shocks their family and friends; it’s a complicated situation that inadvertently forces both Lena and Martin out of their respective comfort zones and start to see each other in a new light.
In addition to Fischer and Hudson, Splitting Up Together stars Olivia Keville (Nowhere Cafe), Van Crosby (Criminal Minds), Sander Thomas (Crowbar Smile), Diane Farr (Rescue Me), Bobby Lee (MADtv), and Lindsay Price (Lipstick Jungle).
Splitting Up Together is set to air midseason on ABC. You can check out the network’s full fall schedule here.
