At their TCA presentation today, Amazon officially renewed con man drama Sneaky Pete for a third season, which should premiere in 2019.
From David Shore (The Good Doctor) and Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Sneaky Pete follows released convict Marius Josipović (Giovanni Ribisi) as he assumes the identity of prison cellmate Pete Murphy in order to evade the vicious gangster he once robbed. The series chronicles Marius’s attempts to keep his true identity hidden while assimilating himself into Pete’s life.
In addition to Ribisi, Sneaky Pete stars Margo Martindale (The Americans), Marin Ireland (Homeland), Shane McRae (Chicago Fire), and Jane Adams (Hung).
The series joins an Amazon drama slate that includes The Man in the High Castle, Bosch, and Patriot, as well as upcoming Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan and Julia Roberts vehicle Homecoming.
