Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns in exactly one week, Friday, May 10 on ABC, where they will have a long-awaited summer run of new episodes for Season 6.
We recently returned from a visit to the show’s sets where we got intel about the coming season, so watch this space in the coming days. But most importantly, we were able to ask Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb the question that fans have been wondering about for a year: Were the characters from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. affected by Thanos’ snap in Avengers: Infinity War?
“This is obviously a very complicated question, partly because we had to go without knowing where they were going,” Loeb admitted. The notion that they didn’t know when Season 6 would air also created a conflict.
“So, when you put all those things together, it’s just easier for us to say that however the Time Lords want to work it out, all of this had to have happened before the snap,” Loeb said. “Otherwise ,we’d be living in a world that was brilliantly shown in Endgame, but we had already shot everything that we shot. And we don’t know what that world is yet until we see Spider Man: Far From Home which is the first sort of post-world [movie] to know what that’s going to be.”
And in a world full of Marvel, might we see any familiar faces before all is said and done?
“I think there’ll some surprises before we get out into the end,” Loeb teased.
