Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be back for Season 6. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Renewed For 13-Episode Season 6

Multiple outlets are reporting this afternoon that ABC has renewed Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for Season 6!

This was the last real nailbiter to come as most ABC decisions came last week. The sixth season will be a bit shorter than previous seasons, with only 13 episodes currently planned.

With the box-office success of Infinty War and S.H.I.E.L.D. gaining in ratings via DVR, it’s not extremely surprising that ABC would want more; it will be interesting to see what effects, if any, the Avengers film has on the series, as the world of Marvel has most definitely changed.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. hit the 100 episode mark earlier this year; the first since the forming of Marvel Television. The show (at least for now) stars Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Iain de Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Henry Simmons, and Natalia Cordova-Buckley.
