The CW’s Roswell pilot which is executive produced by The Originals’ Carina Adly MacKenzie and The Vampire Diaries/Originals supreme leader Julie Plec has added two favorites from the TVD/Originals world to the reboot’s cast.
Yesterday, it was announced that Nathan Parsons (The Originals’ Jackson) had landed the coveted lead male role of Max, a character played by Jason Behr in the original series. THR describes the new take as “as a natural born leader and dedicated Roswell police officer who for years has concealed his origin and unearthly abilities.”
Today, it was revealed that Vampire Diaries werewolf Michael Trevino has also joined the Roswell reboot cast, playing Kyle Valenti. Deadline describes the role, played by Nick Wechsler in the original show, as “the popular son of the town sheriff who questions his carefree outlook on life after learning the terrifying truth of his family’s legacy.”
Also starring in this pilot, which is written by MacKenzie and directed by Plec, will be Jeanine Mason (Grey’s Anatomy) as Liz, Tyler Blackburn (Pretty Little Liars) as Alex, Lily Cowles (BrainDead) as Tess, Michael Vlamis (New Girl) as Michael, and Heather Hemmens (Hellcats) as Maria. The pilot will be shooting soon in Albuquerque for a hopeful spot on The CW’s new and expanded 2018-2019 schedule.
