The CW announced most of its plans for midseason on Monday, which begin in January with the premiere of the network’s Roswell reboot Roswell, New Mexico on Tuesday, January 15th at 9:00. The remainder of Black Lightning season two will then shift to Mondays at 9:00 following Arrow, with Legends of Tomorrow returning to the time slot beginning in April.
Fellow newbie In the Dark has officially been penciled in for Thursdays at 9:00 once Legacies completes its 16-episode first season. An official premiere date has yet to be revealed. Similarly, critical darling Jane the Virgin will take over for teen soap All American once that show completes its own 16-episode season; it’s a rare move for The CW to move something from Fridays to an earlier weeknight, with the most prominent example being Supernatural.
Premiere dates for each show The CW will be premiering in the spring, including the final season of iZombie and The 100 season six, will come at a later date. In the case of Jane and In the Dark, they both should pop up around March, while one of iZombie and The 100 likely will sub in for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend after it wraps its fourth and final season sometime later in spring.
