Riverdale hit Comic-Con today and it was announced that Penelope Ann Miller will be appearing in Season 3 as the district attorney, Ms. Wright.
At the end of season two, Archie Andrews was framed by Hiram Lodge for the murder of a Shadow Lake resident named Cassidy. The savvy, eloquent Ms. Wright is the prosecuting attorney in charge of handling Archie’s case. With a conviction in mind, she will weave together disparate moments of Archie’s young life to portray him as a dangerous, violent sociopath who is capable of committing a heinous crime. His freedom will hang in the balance when the series returns to The CW for its third season on October 10.
There was also some news to come from the panel, such as Hermione enjoying her new power as mayor, a flashback episode featuring the kids as their parents, another musical, good times for “Bughead” and Kevin/Moose, and an “unlikely romance” for Reggie. It also sounds like things are crazy for the cult that Polly has gotten herself into.
Also, Jughead’s sister Jellybean is coming around episode 8 or 9!
You can see a trailer – showing all that’s gone down in the two seasons leading to Season 3 – below. There may be a little tease of what’s to come, as well.
Riverdale stars KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Luke Perry, Mädchen Amick, Marisol Nichols, Madelaine Petsch, Ashleigh Murray, Casey Cott, Charles Melton, Vanessa Morgan, Mark Consuelos and Skeet Ulrich.
