At their TCA presentation on Monday, Hulu unveiled the premiere dates for the next two installments of Into the Dark, as well as upcoming comedy Ramy.
Executive produced by Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity), Into the Dark is a monthly horror anthology featuring 12 super-sized episodes inspired by a holiday. Past installments have included New Year, New You, centering on a group of girlfriends who reunite to celebrate New Years Eve together only for secrets from their past to come forth; Down, a Valentine’s Day episode starring Kingdom alumni Natalie Martinez and Matt Lauria; and agoraphobic ode to Thanksgiving Flesh & Blood.
From Gregg Zehenter & Scott Barkan (Edge of Fear), April Fools Day-themed I’m Just F*cking with You is set to premiere Friday, April 5th and follows a man and his sister as they endure a night of frightening practical jokes while on the way to a family wedding. It stars Keir O’Donnell (Wedding Crashers), Hayes MacArthur (Angie Tribeca), and Jessica McNamee (The Meg).
From Sean Keller and Jim Agnew (The Capture), Mother’s Day episode All That We Destroy comes Friday, May 3rd and tells the story of a geneticist who fears that her son may be becoming a serial killer and creates a group of clones in an attempt to cure him of his psychopathic tendencies. It stars Samantha Mathis (The Strain), Israel Broussard (The Bling Ring), Aurora Perrineau (Jem and the Holigrams), Dora Madison (Friday Night Lights), and Frank Whaley (Pulp Fiction).
Created by Ramy Youssef (See Dad Run), Ari Katcher (The Carmichael Show), and Ryan Welch, with Bridget Bedard (Transparent) showrunning, Ramy centers on first generation Egyptian-American Ramy Hassan (Youssef) as he finds himself caught between a Muslim community that thinks life is a moral test and a millennial generation that thinks life has no consequences.
In addition to Youssef, Ramy stars Mohammed Amer (My Cousin Sister’s Wedding), Hiam Abbass (The Visitor), Amr Waked (Lucy), May Calamawy (Madam Secretary), and Laith Nakli (12 Strong).
