OWN has released the trailer for Queen Sugar season four and in it, we see the Borderlons confronting their past while looking forward to their future.
Season four of Queen Sugar finds the Bordelons reeling from Nova publishing her memoir, which contains family secrets that not everyone is ready to divulge. While Nova’s forced to confront her past during an extensive book tour, Charley continues her battle with the Landrys, fresh from acquiring 1% of Landry Enterprises and regaining the tenancies of the black farmers. Elsewhere, Micah tries to balance his personal safety with a newfound love of activism and Ralph Angel continues rebuilding his relationship with Darla while fostering his interest in creating opportunities for formerly incarcerated men.
Among those set to guest star this season are David Alan Grier, Tevin Campbell, Erica Tazel, Kendall Clark, and Walter Perez. As with previous seasons, season four has an all-female directing team; this time, the show is welcoming Cheryl Dunye, who will also serve as producing director, in addition to Carmen Marron, Numa Perrier, Heidi Saman, Bola Ogun and Tchaiko Omawale, all of whom will be making their television directorial debut.
The fourth season of Queen Sugar is set to premiere Wednesday, June 12th at 9:00 on OWN.
