USA has released a new recap video for Queen of the South, only this time the action of seasons one and two is recounted by RuPaul’s Drag Race queens Manila Luzon and Alaska. This has been a good week for Drag Race recap videos, as Bob the Drag Queen, Valentina, Jinkx Monsoon, Alyssa Edwards, and Gia Gunn put their spin on the first season of Claws a few days ago.

The first two seasons of Queen of the South followed the rise of Teresa Mendoza, who works her way from money launderer to drug mule to eventually an important part of Camila’s upstart cartel. With a survival instinct a mile wide, the leverage from Guero’s book, and a scorned Camila looking to make a name for herself in the cartel world, Teresa is able to carve out a life for herself under Camila’s protection – but only for a moment. Soon enough, Teresa’s ambition and Camila’s untrustworthiness collide and lead to a deadly tarmac standoff that brings their rift to the next level.

Season three, meanwhile, finds Teresa striking out on her own with Camila nipping at her heels. All during her time with Camila, Teresa wanted the chance to become a Dona on her terms and she would never get the chance to embrace her independent streak while still under Camila’s thumb. However, there’s a major difference between working for someone and being the face of an operation, so with this newfound independent streak puts a tremendous target on her back, not only from a revenge-minded Camila but from all the other cartel leaders looking to snuff out competition before they get their sea legs.

The third season of Queen of the South is set to premiere Thursday, June 21st at 9:00 on USA. You can check out additional preview here.
