FX has released a new preview for the second season of critically acclaimed ballroom drama Pose and in it, we see Angel asserting her independence following the breakup with Stan, Blanca being forced to confront her mortality, and Elektra getting used to a life of providing for herself.
Pose season two begins in 1990 with the ballroom community gaining mainstream recognition through the release of Madonna’s “Vogue”. What should be an emotionally complicated but ultimately rewarding time causes the House of Evangelista to reevaluate its goals. Meanwhile, the worsening AIDS crisis causes an intense reaction from a group of activists.
Featuring the largest cast of transgender actors in series regular roles, as well as the largest recurring cast of LGBTQ actors ever for a scripted series, Pose stars Mj Rodriguez, Dominique Jackson, Indya Moore, Hailie Sahar, and Angelica Ross, who co-star alongside Billy Porter, Charlayne Woodard, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Dyllón Burnside, and Angel Bismark Curiel.
The series is part of a drama slate for FX that includes Snowfall, Taboo, Mayans MC, and Legion, as well as anthologies American Horror Story, American Crime Story, and Fargo.
Season two of Pose is set to premiere Tuesday, June 11th at 10:00 on FX.
