Deadline is reporting that NBC comedy pilot Uninsured has added Wings alum Steven Weber. He’ll be playing upbeat salesman Elliot, who knows too many facts about things you don’t care about.

From Dan Levy (The Goldbergs), Uninsured follows young parents Dave (Adam Pally) and Rebecca (Abby Elliott) as they’re forced to take in Dave’s parents Elliot and Linda (Fran Drescher) after they mishandle their finances and accrue a sizable debt.

In addition to his role on the NBC airport comedy, Weber’s extensive television career includes roles on Chasing Life, Mom, and Channel Zero. He joins a cast that also features Jessy Hodges (Hindsight) and Amer Padha-Chatel.

Uninsured is part of a comedy pilot slate for NBC that consists of Friends-in-Law, a holdover from the network’s 2018 pilot slate that’s been redeveloped; Like Magic, about a young woman trying to become a headlining magician; The Kenan Show (formerly known as Saving Kenan), starring Kenan Thompson as a widower who lets his father-in-law become more involved in his life; musical comedy Perfect Harmony; Sunnyside, which stars Kal Penn as a New York councilman helping immigrants in need; and Village Gazette, about the naive editor of a small newspaper.
