Deadline is reporting that Sopranos alum Michael Imperoli is set as a co-lead on NBC drama pilot Lincoln.
Based on the bestselling novel series from Jeffrey Deaver, with VJ Boyd (Justified) and Mark Bianculli (The Good Neighbor) writing, Lincoln follows legendary forensic criminologist Lincoln Rhyme (Russell Hornsby), who was seriously injured during his hunt for the diabolical serial killer known as the Bone Collector. Called back into action when the killer re-emerges, Lincoln forms a unique partnership with Amelia Sachs, a young beat cop who helps him hunt the deadly mastermind while also taking on the most high-profile cases in the NYPD.
Imperoli will play NYPD Detective Rick Sellito, Lincoln’s partner.
In addition to his role on the groundbreaking HBO drama, Imperoli’s television credits include Project Blue Book, Detroit 1-8-7, and Californication.
Lincoln is part of a drama pilot slate for NBC that includes musical dramedy Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist; family drama Council of Dads; Prism, which follows a murder trial where every episode is told through the perspective of a different key person involved; conspiracy thriller Emergence; and legal drama Bluff City Law.
