FOX has become the fourth broadcast network to reveal their fall 2017 premiere dates, joining previously announced CBS, The CW, and NBC. Their fall begins on Sunday, September 10th with the first of a two-part series premiere of The Orville airing at 8:00 following the afternoon football game. The series, a space dramedy from Seth MacFarlane, will have the second part of its premiere aired Sunday, September 17th at 8:00 before settling into its time slot on Thursday, September 28th at 9:00.
After The Orville comes the debut of FOX’s Tuesday, which kicks off on September 26th with the second season of a newly relocated Lethal Weapon at 8:00 leading into the comedy hour of The Mick and Brooklyn Nine-Nine at 9:00 and 9:30, respectively. Wednesday, September 27th sees Empire used as a lead-in for the first time, as it is paired with quasi-spinoff Star, while Gotham makes its Thursday debut on September 28th at 8:00. FOX closes out its premiere week with a Friday that consists of Hell’s Kitchen at 8:00 and The Exorcist at 9:00 beginning September 29th.
FOX Sundays spring up on October 1st, with Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons, Family Guy, and The Last Man on Earth all returning for new seasons. The night has one new addition in Adam Scott-Craig Robinson comedy Ghosted, which will air at 8:30. FOX’s fall premieres then officially conclude on Monday, October 2nd with the third season premiere of Lucifer leading into the series premiere of Marvel drama The Gifted.
Coming midseason for FOX are the final season of New Girl, Ryan Murphy drama 9-1-1, airplane comedy LA to Vegas, medical drama The Resident, and another round of The X-Files.
