CRAIG: Spoiler warning: I have all five DC shows slotted for the Fall. Supergirl and Legends might not be perfect fits with one another, but they do both have strong female leads and adventure in that world of DC Comics. Legends of Tomorrow in its third season was actually the best of the four “Arrowverse” shows creatively, and it also seems to weather any timeslot change. So, instead of wasting Supergirl away on something completely incompatible, this might just help them both.
SHILO: Originally, I had The CW using Supergirl on something new. The show has came down to Earth in the ratings this season, but it’s still one of The CW’s stronger lead-ins and something that could foster a show not in the network’s DC-verse. However, if Supernatural is on the move to Sundays, I don’t know if they would leave Arrow on Thursdays and the only other home that would make sense is Mondays. There’s synergy with fellow DC-verse show Supergirl, which has averaged about what Supernatural did this season; the only trade off is that Arrow would be going from facing weaker football on Thursdays to Monday Night Football, but the association with Supergirl should steady it.
