It is likely that at some point tomorrow, NBC will be announcing their 2014-2015 schedule, which means that our posting our prospective fantasy schedules is coming at just the right time. So, if you want to know what they’re really doing, wait for tomorrow; if you want to know what we think they should do, you’re in the right place.
This is the last of the daily columns by Shilo Adams and Craig Byrne where we analyze what’s been in development and try to find it a home. Of course, we do have some advantages to this one, as most of NBC’s renewals and cancellations have been announced by this point. You can read our previous entries for other networks here. We’ll start with Sunday, though as you see, there’s not a lot to say about that in the Fall.
SUNDAY
SHILO: Are you ready for some football, America? No? Well, NBC is going to give you some football anyway. Sunday Night Football and its 7:00 pre-show aren’t going anywhere for a long time. Congratulations in advance on winning fall Sundays, NBC.
MONDAY
SHILO: The Blacklist is strong enough to move from its post-Voice perch and I don’t think we’ll be looking at a Revolution-sized collapse this time next season. In its place, I would put State of Affairs, which will be the television return vehicle for Grey’s Anatomy alum Katherine Heigl. Aside from the press that her sojourn back to television from the wilds of the film world would generate, State of Affairs, about a CIA attache who counsels the president and has a complicated personal life, sounds like Scandal through an NBC lens, a serial-procedural hybrid that seemingly made for melodramatic episode promos. Plus, it sounds different enough to stand apart from what should be its competition in the hour.
CRAIG: I’m not so bold with my choices. I figure that since The Blacklist has done so well following the Voice, if I were the NBC Scheduling Poohbah I probably would keep The Blacklist there, although I do agree it should be able to handle the move to another night better.
Since we do not have Olympics getting in the way this year, though, I might suggest a midseason break where something like Heroes Reborn could go, if it is indeed set as a Spring series. But for now, I’m siding with familiarity here.

Hey, news came out that Dracula was canceled by NBC today. I’ve seen comments this week that it’s an international production and as such could be airing in other countries even if it’s not in the US. Is this true? Will a season 2 air outside the US, like Saving Hope is a Canadian show that keeps going even though NBC didn’t want to air it anymore?
What about the biggest loser? Also The Celebrity Apprentice was officially renewed back in March and is already done filming, so I can see that maybe being on the fall schedule
