CBS’s 2017-2018 Schedule: Thoughts & Predictions CBS’s 2017-2018 Schedule: Thoughts & Predictions
KSiteTV's Craig Byrne and Shilo Adams discuss what the CBS fall schedule, set to be released May 17th, could look like. CBS’s 2017-2018 Schedule: Thoughts & Predictions

TUESDAY

SHILO: 8:00 NCIS; 9:00 Bull; 10:00 NCIS: New Orleans
CRAIG: 8:00 NCIS; 9:00 Bull; 10:00 NCIS: New Orleans

SHILO: I was tempted to break up CBS Tuesdays because I think one of Bull or NCIS: New Orleans could be of use on another night and NCIS is still strong enough to help the entire night. However, I don’t know if they’d be willing to dismantle a fairly compatible lineup since the Navy SEAL pilot isn’t as strong as I expected and Elementary is (probably) coming back. If they busted up NCIS/Bull/NCIS: New Orleans, it would be because of a drama that’s undeniably promising/compatible (see: Bull pushing NCIS: New Orleans to 10:00) and none of CBS’s buzziest dramas are as compatible as the Navy SEAL pilot, which Variety says could be in an either/or situation with S.W.A.T.. I do think that CBS would come to regret this because NCIS isn’t going to be around forever, so getting something else sampled would be wise, and launching a new (CBS) drama Tuesdays at 9:00 isn’t nearly as difficult as (spoiler alert) Thursdays at 10:00.

CRAIG: I, too, was tempted to move Bull, but I think it might need another year in that NCIS sandwich until or unless, as you said, some better/higher-profile drama comes along. For now, it’s not that broken, so no need to fix it.
