More details about the Once Upon A Time Wonderland spin-off. Once Upon A Time Wonderland Spin-Off Gets A Title & An Alice

ABC’s Once Upon A Time spin-off pilot presentation taking place in Wonderland has cast their Alice.

THR is reporting that English-born Australian actress Sophie Lowe has landed the role of Alice in the presentation. THR describes her character as “young but having lived a hard and long life who carries those scars on her psyche. Underneath it all, she has a generous heart that she tries to keep hidden.” Lowe’s previous credits include the drama The Slap.

Peter Gadiot will be playing Alice’s love interest, Cyrus, who has “a background shrouded in mystery.” Michael Socha will play the Knave of Hearts in the presentation, which begins shooting April 7. If the presentation goes well, a pilot will be shot in the summer.

In addition to this casting news, the spin-off now has a [tentative] name: Once: Wonderland. We’ll see if that one sticks, if this should go to series…
