Ford moved to Los Angeles with Uly so they could both pursue their dreams of stardom. This would be his opportunity to seize the life he always wanted with his best friend by his side, but things didn’t go as they both expected, with Uly stepping back from his pursuit of acting after not gaining much traction. While it would’ve been easy for Ford to follow suit, he kept plugging away until meeting Barnabas, a chance encounter that could change the course of his professional life. But just how much is Ford willing to do in order to fulfill his destiny?
On the next episode of Now Apocalypse, Ford is invited by Otto to do a risque photo shoot. Being that he’s starstruck by this director that he greatly admires, Ford doesn’t see the problem; this is a chance for him to bond with someone who could take his career to new heights while avoiding making Barnabas look bad for introducing the two. But not only is he short-sighted when it comes to how this could impact his career going forward, given that the type of photos he’s being asked to take could make him look foolish, he’s especially naive as to the unbalanced power dynamic that exists between him and Otto. The director is clearly trying to take advantage and test the boundaries of their relationship with this photo shoot, so if Ford’s not careful, how deferential he is to his idol and how easy it is for him to trust other people could come back to bite.
Elsewhere on Now Apocalypse, Severine reconnects with ex-lover Mustafa when he comes to town, while Uly finds himself haunted by Gabriel and Carly grows closer with acting teacher Frank.
Now Apocalypse airs Sundays at 9:00 on Starz.
