AMC has done a surprisingly thorough job of keeping spoilers from the final season of Breaking Bad under wraps, but they’ve taken it to a whole new level this time.
The trailer for the series finale is an engaging and captivating montage…containing absolutely no new clips from the final episode, entitled “Felina”. Instead, a handful of clips from the show’s first season are spliced with some of the most suspenseful moments from the final season. If you haven’t seen tonight’s or last week’s episodes, there are loads of spoilers for those; for the rest of us, there are absolutely no hints of what will happen. Chances are we won’t get promotional images for the same reason, and won’t understand exactly what “Felina” is referring to until we watch (other than an anagram for “finale,” that is.) On the upside, and especially for spoiler-phobes, it’s exciting to go into this so completely in the dark.
The episode is written and directed by series creator Vince Gilligan, and will air on September 29 at 9pm on AMC, after a long marathon of the entire series.
Here is the promotional trailer that aired on AMC tonight, which is still very well-edited and worth the watch. A review of this week’s episode will be going up soon.
