CBS has released a description and two photos to promote the September 20 season premiere of NCIS, and listed within the guest stars is Patrick Labyorteaux as “JAG Navy Captain Bud Roberts, Jr.”
Labyorteaux played the character for over 200 episodes of JAG, the series that spun NCIS off, between 1995 and 2005.

The NCIS team investigates a deadly car explosion in D.C. that connects to NCIS Special Agent Nicholas “Nick” Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), who disappeared six months ago while on a deep undercover assignment in Argentina. Also, Gibbs asks NCIS Special Agent Alexandra “Alex” Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) to shadow his team after rejecting eight agents she instructed and referred for the open position, on the 14th season premiere of NCIS, Tuesday, Sept. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.
