The CW has given a pilot order for Naomi based on the DC Comics series of the same name. The CW Orders A Pilot For DC Comics’ Naomi

The CW has given a pilot order to Naomi based on the comic book series created by Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker that was illustrated by Jamal Campbell. The pilot is written and executive produced by Jill Blankenship (Arrow) and acclaimed filmmaker Ava DuVernay (When They See Us).

Here’s how they describe it:

Naomi follows a teen girl’s journey from her small northwestern town to the heights of the multiverse. When a supernatural event shakes her hometown to the core, Naomi sets out to uncover its origins, and what she discovers will challenge everything we believe about our heroes.

The original comic book series was fantastic, and if you have not read the collection already, it’s the perfect primer for all things Naomi, and we can’t wait for the next installment. While a pilot order does not guarantee going to series, this is something that would be perfect for the next wave of DC TV so we certainly wouldn’t be shocked to see more. As we have with many past DC projects, we do have a Naomi Twitter feed so be among the first to give it a follow – @NaomiDCTV!
