Syfy has released a brief teaser for upcoming Superman drama Krypton and in it, we see a world that will eventually produce greatness.
Based on the DC Comics characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster and developed for television by David S. Goyer (Constantine) and Ian Goldberg (Once Upon a Time), Krypton is set two generations prior to the destruction of Superman’s home planet. The series will follow the Man of Steel’s grandfather Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his world from collapsing into chaos.
In addition to Cuffe, Krypton stars Elliot Cowan (Da Vinci’s Demons), Aaron Pierre (Tennison), Ann Ogombo (World War Z), Georgina Campbell (Broadchurch), Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones), Rasmus Hardiker (Your Highness), and Wallis Day (Will). The series joins a scripted slate for Syfy that includes The Magicians, 12 Monkeys, and The Expanse.
The series premiere of Krypton is set to air in 2018 on Syfy. A precise premiere date should be revealed in the coming months.
