History has set a Monday, March 25th at 10:00 premiere date for the upcoming second season of medieval drama Knightfall.
From Richard Rayner and Don Handfield (Amazing Stories), with Aaron Helbing (Spartacus: War of the Damned) acting as season two showrunner, Knightfall tells the story of the Knights Templar, the most powerful, wealthy, and mysterious military order of the Middle Ages. The series explores to complex brotherhood at the center of the order, how the Knights fit into society during this time period, and the ways that those involved lived, fought, and died.
Season two is set to add Mark Hamill (Star Wars) as battle-hardened Knight Templar Talus, an initiate master tasked with readying the next generation of warriors; Genevieve Gaunt (The Royals) as Princess Isabella, King Phillip’s daughter who eventually becomes known as “the she-wolf of France”; Tom Forbes (The Bastard Executioner) as King Phillip’s violent and unpredictable son Prince Louis; and Clementine Nicholson (Underworld: Blood Wars) as Margaret, Princess of Burgundy and the devoted wife of Prince Louis of France.
Knightfall is part of a scripted slate for History that includes Vikings, which is heading into its final season later this year, and newly renewed Project Blue Book.
