Marvel and Netflix have opted to keep their televisual universe together, as the renewal of Iron Fist was announced today at Comic-Con. No details about the renewal, be it episode count or expected release date, have been announced as of yet.

From Scott Buck (Dexter), Iron Fist follows billionaire Buddhist monk Danny Rand (Finn Jones) as he returns to New York City 15 years after being presumed dead. His intention is to wrestle control of his family’s company away from the ruthless Meachum family, but a threat forces him to choose between fulfilling his mission for revenge and his life as Iron Fist, a living weapon who channels his chi energy into his fists.

In addition to Jones, Iron Fist stars Jessica Henwick (Game of Thrones), Tom Pelphrey (Banshee), Jessica Stroup (90210), Ramon Rodriguez (Gang Related), and Sacha Dhawan (Last Tango in Halifax).

Iron Fist was the fourth entry into the Marvel/Netflix universe, following acclaimed Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage. All four characters are a part of the team-up series The Defenders, which is set to premiere on the streaming platform August 18th.

Will you be watching season two? What type of changes would you like to see the show make going forward? Should Netflix add any more Marvel characters to its television shared universe?
