The world of Frozen is coming to Once Upon A Time for Season 4, but in addition to that, we also have Prince Charming and Snow White facing a different new challenge: parenthood. Baby Neal was born at the end of Season 3, and while at a roundtable at this year’s Comic-Con International in San Diego, we spoke with Josh Dallas about this new challenge for his character.

JOSH DALLAS, GINNIFER GOODWINThis is their chance to be the parents that they didn’t get to be with Emma, so they’re going to do everything that they can to be the best parents they can be, and protect their baby, protect Prince Neal, against whatever evils and villainy that come knocking at their door in Storybrooke,” Dallas says.

Even though Emma was not raised by her parents as this new baby will be, don’t expect any jealousy. Or, at least, the subject hasn’t come up.  “Not yet,” he says. “We’re only on the second episode, so, not yet. And I don’t know if that will be the case because with her. I think it will probably make her relationship even stronger in some ways, because I think Snow and David will be able to learn how to really be parents, so maybe they’ll have different ways of dealing with Emma,” Josh adds.

With Frozen characters coming to Once, might there be a connection between his character and the citizens of Arendelle? “Maybe,” he teases. “That’s all I’m going to say. Maybe. Maybe there’s an unlikely friendship that Charming had in his past, that maybe literally changed the entire path of his life.”

You can watch the video interview below, where Josh Dallas talks about these topics in addition to the notion of a future confrontation with Regina.
