“Fiddler’s Neck” is the new episode of Minority Report airing tonight (October 26) at 9PM ET/PT on FOX, and it’s a big episode for the Agatha character, as we will get to see a lot of her backstory. The episode shows things that happened when she and her siblings first arrived on the island of Fiddler’s Neck and how Agatha went about interacting the community. We will also learn about a certain man that she met, and her history with him.
Last week, we visited the Vancouver sets of Minority Report for some scoop on what’s coming up. Laura Regan, who plays Agatha, gave us some teasers for what we can expect.
“Something happens in the present, [and] she calls Dash for help,” Regan told us. “She adores him, and she very clearly knows the difference between her two brothers… and she knows which ones she can go to for different needs. She knows that Dash is the one that just lives to help people; he really just has this one clear purpose. When she needs to help someone out, she calls Dash. She’s a little bit testy with him, but it comes down to her needing him,” she explained.
Even with Agatha interacting with Dash, she will still remain suspicious of Vega after the vision that she has seen. Is there any possibility that she’s misinterpreting the vision?
“She doesn’t want to be in a milk bath no matter what,” Regan said. “To her, it means being held captive. There’s actually something coming up with Monday’s episode again where Vega says to her, ‘Look, have you ever thought that maybe I’m trying to help you out or I’m trying to release you from it?’ and Agatha says ‘Maybe. But the point is I’m going to be there, and I don’t want to be there’,” she explained.
“She can consider all the possible angles of that and ramifications but at the end of the day she’s like, ‘Look. I see this happening and I don’t want it to happen, regardless of why it happens’,” Regan continued. “And you’ll see that episode nine and ten; it’s actually really cool and twisty and turn-y how we get to the place where they realize ‘Ah, this is what the vision meant.’ It means something different to everybody at that point, and Arthur and Agatha especially have a moment in Episode 10 where you’ll see them kind of look at each other: ‘So that’s what the vision meant,’ because they’ve been discussing it for so long.”
“It’s cool, the twists and turns it takes on the way to understanding what it meant, but right now she just doesn’t care. She’s like ‘I just don’t want to be there’,” she told us.
