Deadline is reporting that Mistresses alum Alyssa Milano has signed on for a major recurring role in The CW’s beauty pageant pilot Insatiable. She’ll be playing Coralee, the social-climbing wife to a disgraced attorney who becomes a beauty pageant coach.

Created by Lauren Gussis (Dexter) and executive produced by former American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, Insatiable tells the story of Patty (Debby Ryan), a formerly overweight social outcast who lost 70 pounds after breaking her jaw. Still nursing significant emotional scars from the years of bullying she endured, Patty decides to exact vengeance upon all those who made her life miserable, enlisting a pageant coach to help empower her for the first time. But what her coach doesn’t realize is that by agreeing to help Patty, he’s unleashing a special kind of hell on the world at large.

In addition to her role on the ABC soap, Milano has appeared on the likes of Melrose Place, Charmed, and Who’s the Boss. She joins a cast that includes Dallas Roberts (The Good Wife), Sarah Colonna (Chelsea Lately), and Christopher Gorham (Ugly Betty).

Insatiable is one of six CW pilots in contention for 2017-18, joining DC-verse entrant Black Lightning, fantasy drama Searchers, cancer dramedy Life Sentence, soapy reboot Dynasty, and military thriller Valor. Decisions on which of these projects make it to series, and which current CW shows won’t see next season, should come down in early May.
