The entire purpose behind Ben altering his identity and keeping anyone from learning his true history was so he could have the resources and reach necessary to locate Elena and pull her back from the brink before it’s too late. It didn’t matter how many times he would have to risk being exposed by SPIGA or how long he would have to continue being this whole other person he created out of thin air; everything he’s been through would be worth it if he could rescue Elena from Arcadia and live the life he always wanted rather than the one he was forced into by circumstance. But while seeing Elena at the hotel is undoubtedly a sign that he’s on the right path, that the possibility of being with her again is more real than he might’ve imagined, he’s still very far from being able to leave everything behind.
On tonight’s episode of Incorporated, Ben scrambles to regroup after getting a glimpse of Elena in the hotel elevator. It’s one thing to know that she’s out there alive thanks to seeing her on a screen, but it’s a whole other beast entirely to come face to face with someone you’ve spent every waking hour working toward being with again. Ben’s entire being has been augmented toward the moment he can free Elena from the bonds of servitude, allowing the two to leave the corporate grasp once and for all, so actually laying eyes on her in person and realizing that there’s a chance this could all work out for them has to simultaneously motivate and overwhelm him. While Ben might want nothing more than to storm the hotel room, grabbing Elena and running away for good, he has to contend with a determined Roger, hellbent on exposing his competitor’s secrets and proving himself to his father, as well as his conflicted feelings about what this all means for Laura and pressure from Elizabeth to complete a pivotal project for SPIGA. It’s a lot to have to synthesize, even for someone as unflappable as Ben; however, it’s a sign that he’s going to have continue what he’s doing – keep his head down, stamp out any threats to his status at SPIGA, and wait for the right moment to make a move.
Elsewhere on Incorporated, Laura takes her fertility treatments to the next level, while Julian offers assistance to a friend.
Incorporated airs tonight at 10:00 on Syfy.
Do you think Ben will be able to talk to make contact with Elena? What will it take for him to keep Roger from discovering the truth about his identity? How long will Ben be able to keep up the facade that he wants to have a baby with Laura?
