Vulture is reporting that VH1 has renewed romantic dramedy Hindsight for a second season. Though there’s no set return date for the series, it’s possible that Hindsight will premiere in early 2016 and follow the same airing pattern as season one.
“Our viewers have fallen in love with Hindsight,” said Susan Levison, EVP, Original Programming and Production, VH1. “From the characters and storytelling to the iconic music and fashion of the 90’s, this is a quintessential VH1 show and we can’t wait to see what Becca will do next. Congratulations to the cast and creative team behind this signature series.”
Created by Emily Fox (Jane by Design), Hindsight follows 40-something Becca (Laura Ramsey) as she’s transported back to the eve of her first wedding in 1995. After living twenty years worth of regrets, lost friendships, and missed opportunities, this is her chance to do it all over again, to correct the mistakes she made in the past and give herself a future she can be confident in. However, once Becca begins playing around with the universe’s grand design, she discovers that changing things might not be as easy as she thought. There are certain milestones in her life and the lives of those she loves that cannot be avoided, but will Becca be able to spare herself even a little pain in the future thanks to her sojourn to the past?
In addition to Ramsey, Hindsight stars Craig Horner (Legend of the Seeker), Sarah Goldberg (The Dark Knight Rises), Nick Clifford (The Opportunist), and John Patrick Amedori (The Butterfly Effect). The series is one of two scripted projects on VH1, with the other being summer soap Hit the Floor.
