Marvel’s Hawkeye series for the Disney+ streaming service has landed a writer/executive producer.

THR revealed today that Jonathan Igla whose previous credits include Mad Men, Pitch, and Sorry For Your Loss will be writing and executive producing the series which features the Marvel archer (Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton) as he tries to teach another young archer, Kate Bishop, how to be a hero without powers.

THR notes that the series is tentatively set to premiere in Fall 2021 as part of Marvel’s Phase Four, which also includes live-action series for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and Loki. Also planned are series to feature She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight. These series are shepherded by Marvel’s Kevin Feige and thus will be closer to the movie universe than the shows we are accustomed to from Marvel Television.
