While still unconfirmed by Marvel and Disney+, Variety is reporting that Hailee Steinfeld has been offered the major role of Kate Bishop in the Disney+ Hawkeye series.
The series is due in 2021 and will feature Jeremy Renner reprising his role from the Avengers films as Clint Barton a.k.a. Hawkeye as he trains another young hero with archery talents. Kate Bishop has been one of Marvel’s more successful new characters in the 21st century, seeing her first appearance in Young Avengers by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung.
This would not be Steinfeld’s first Marvel super hero character; she was “Spider-Gwen” in Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Many fans suspected that 13 Reasons Why’s Katherine Langford would be tapped for the role as she was rumored to be in Avengers: Endgame. Apparently, that was never to be.
Marvel’s Hawkeye is due on Disney+ in late 2021. Keep up with show updates with our @KSiteTV_Hawkeye Twitter feed!
