Crisis on Infinite Earths isn’t the only TV crossover currently going on right now: On January 3, CBS will be crossing over Friday night staples Hawaii Five-0 and Magnum P.I. for a two-episode event, and the first photos from the crossover have now surfaced.

The crossover begins at 8PM ET/PT with the Hawaii Five-0 episode “Ihea ‘oe i ka wa a ka ua e loku ana?” which translates to “Where were you when the rain was pouring?” In that one, when a list of undercover CIA agents is stolen, Steve and Five-0 enlist the help of Magnum (Jay Hernandez), Higgins (Perdita Weeks), Rick (Zachary Knighton) and TC (Stephen Hill) to get it back and protect national security. Also, Higgins gives Tani some personal advice.

The Magnum P.I. episode airs in the following hour, and it is called “Desperate Measures.” When Junior (Beulah Koale) is kidnapped as leverage to retrieve the stolen list of undercover CIA agents, and most of Five-0 is rounded up by the CIA to prevent them from interfering, Tani (Meaghan Rath) and Quinn (Katrina Law) ask Magnum and Higgins for their help.

Seems like a throwback to the Eighties when Magnum would cross over with Murder She Wrote and Simon and Simon!

Take a look at the photos below; we are assuming more are coming.

UPDATE: Sure enough, we have a lot more photos! The newer photos are near the start of the slide show.

Where is Scott Cann. Frankly speaking he should be removed from the show. He absences are not missed. And his presence in the few episodes he’s in add nothing to the show. He would not be missed as is proven all the time. Scott Cann should stay in L.A.. A poor actor who feels entitled.

Scott should be on every show. It’s not the same without dano. He is a great actor. Takes after his father. That’s the way the show should be. Don’t leave him out.

Scott is missed in every episode where the writers don’t use him, or waste the time he’s actually in Hawaii by sticking him with everyone other than Alex. The best part of the series are the McDanno moments (and both Alex and Scott have both said on NUMEROUS occasions that their favorite scenes to shoot are their scenes together, that all the rest, the cop stuff can become monotonous but the bickering/bantering between Steve/Danny is always fun- take that away from them and you risk one or both of them definitely looking a lot closer at just leaving the show all together because frankly, their scenes with the other actors just is NOT the same as with each other).

Katrina’s character adds exactly NOTHING to the show. I actually like Katrina as an actress, but the character they’ve created for her for H50 is awful. They’re trying to write her as a mix between Steve and Danny, to try and shove her into Scott’s missing place and it does not work AT ALL. The scene with her goading Steve into trying to get the malasada after finding out he had high cholesterol was downright ANNOYING – you don’t find out someone has a medical condition and then try and goad them into doing something that will actually make that condition WORSE. Would you try and goad an alcoholic into drinking? If Danny had been in that scene, he wouldn’t have given Steve the malasada either, but he’d be lecturing Steve about taking care of his health because he’s already stressed out about Steve’s health as it is and he CARES about Steve bloody well not dying, not actively encouraging him to end up being one of the stats of the young who have a heart attack at a young age. This just made her look like a jackass.

The writers need to do a better job of using Scott’s time on the island and start actually pairing Danny back up with his PARTNER, because it’s gotten really bloody old seeing the episodes Scott is in with Danny and Steve running around with anyone BUT each other.

What an amazing way to start 2020. I knew nothing about this and literally a couple of weeks ago after watching the latest episode of Magnum PI, wondered whether or not there could ever be a crossover with Hawaii Five-O. Now if only we could get on MacGyver/ Magnum /Hawaii 5-O crossover…..
