Hulu has set a Wednesday, July 10th premiere date for the third season of critically praised drama Harlots.
The season will see the addition of Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones) as ambitious and unpredictable war veteran Isaac Pincher, who establishes a tavern used as a front for a brothel, and Ash Hunter (The Secret Agent) as his quieter and more cautious brother Hal, who enters into a relationship with Emily Lacey.
In addition to his role on the HBO drama, Allen’s television credits include Close to the Enemy, Casualty 1907, and Spaced, while Hunter has appeared on the likes of Wolfblood, Switch, and Death in Paradise.
Season two of Harlots, which landed on my top 10 of 2018 list, concluded with Margaret escaping hanging for the murder of Sir George only to be forcibly sent to America, Lydia being committed to Bedlam by her son, and Charlotte assuming control of her mother’s brothel.
Harlots is part of a scripted slate for Hulu that includes The Handmaid’s Tale, Light as a Feather, Marvel’s Runaways, PEN15, All Night, Castle Rock, Into the Dark, and The Bisexual, as well as upcoming series Catch-22, The Act, Shrill, and Ramy.
