NBC has officially given crime drama Good Girls a series order, though co-lead Kathleen Rose Perkins (Episodes) will be recast. The series is the third new drama to be ordered for next season by NBC, joining military ensemble The Brave (formerly known as For God and Country) and high school performing arts showcase Rise.
From Jenna Bans (Scandal), Good Girls follows what happens when three suburban moms get tired of trying to make ends meet and decide it’s time to stick up for themselves by robbing the local supermarket.
Good Girls stars Mae Whitman (Parenthood), Retta (Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce), Matthew Lillard (The Bridge), and Manny Montana (Conviction). It’s as yet unclear whether this will be NBC’s last drama order or if they could find another new drama in something like virtual reality series Reverie.
NBC will be unveiling its 2017-18 schedule on Sunday, May 14th, with the upfront presentation to follow on May 15th. You can check out what KSiteTV thought could happen with NBC here.
