CBS has released the trailer for upcoming religious drama God Friended Me and in it, we see a crisis of faith that turns into productive action.

From Bryan Wyndbrandt and Steven Lilien (Gotham), God Friended Me tells the story of an outspoken atheist whose beliefs are challenged when he’s friended by God on Facebook. Shaken, he seeks out help from an online journalist with similar experience and the two begin investigating what they believe is a hoax. Along the way, they inadvertently begin helping people and find a purpose that neither of them expected but both of them needed.

The second such project in as many seasons following Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, and CBS’s first project explicitly about religion since Touched by an Angel, the series stars Brandon Michael Hall (The Mayor), Javicia Leslie (Chef Julian), Joe Morton (Scandal), Suraj Sharma (Homeland), and Violett Beane (The Flash).

God Friended Me is set to air Sundays at 8:00 on CBS. You can check out the network’s fall schedule here, as well as trailers for Magnum P.I. and the rest of their new shows here.
