heartbreakerDeadline is reporting that NBC has become the latest network to tweak its plans for fall 2015, as medical drama Heartbreaker has been delayed until midseason due to star Melissa George’s pregnancy. In its place on Tuesdays at 9:00 will be another medical drama in Dick Wolf’s Chicago Med, the latest entrant into the Chicago franchise that has been good to NBC. The rest of NBC Tuesdays, which begin with The Voice and conclude with Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris, remains unchanged.

From Jill Gordon (The Wonder Years), Heartbreaker tells the story of Dr. Alex Panttiere (George), a world-renowned heart surgeon whose unorthodox manner of approaching her career has garnered her quite the reputation. While Dr. Panttiere has done a lot to advance medical science, she also leads a fairly racy personal life that acts almost as a second career in and of itself, one in which the fearless doctor must keep under control by any means necessary.

In addition to George, Heartbreaker stars Dave Annable (Red Band Society), Jamie Kennedy (Ghost Whisperer), Maya Erskine (Man Seeking Woman), and Shelley Conn (The Lottery).

Do you think NBC will be better off with Chicago Med in the fall vs. Heartbreaker? Now that Heartbreaker has been pushed off of Tuesdays, when and where do you think it’ll air? Could Heartbreaker wind up airing on NBC Sundays after the 2015-2016 football season concludes?
