Okay, just read on Newsarama, that Fox might be expanding their X-Men/FF to television. Writer/producer Simon Kinberg had this to say:
My guess is, they'll have such a show focus on one character (for budget reasons). I have suggested Nate Grey, in the past. His powers (especially telepathy) wouldn't be very expensive to pull off on TV. Though, the problem there, is that you'd need him to constantly run into villains, that are immune to his power. Otherwise, you end up in a senario, where every problem could easily be solved, with him just controlling their minds.
Guess Rogue would be a candidate. You'd have an established film character, head to TV (kinda like Phil Coulson). And you'd be able to explore much more, with the character. In the comics, she has had to tackle with multiple personalities (when an absorbed mind gets stuck in her head) and even had her body taken over (when the absorbed mind, is too strong for her). They also had her gained the ability to recall powers, that she had absorbed in the past. A TV show could have that be a side effect of the cure. It eventually wore off, but then she started to briefly manifest powers, of those she had absorbed. Only one at a time and she can't fully control it (preventing the character, from becoming too powerful and add tension, as might not always manifest the power she needs at that time. If she'd be poisoned, she could die, unless her body manifest Wolverine's healing factor, in time).
I've seen a couple of fan trailers, on Youtube, for an X-23 series. It would be interesting, to explore that character on TV.
Any other suitable candidates?
“We’re still in this place of figuring out what the future of the franchise will be, but when you look at [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.] to some extent and what Marvel is doing now with Daredevil and other shows on Netflix, it makes sense to tell some of these stories in TV partly because there’s just not enough screens to do all of these characters,” Kinberg told Collider. “And also because the serialized format of comic books is better suited for TV. Because that’s it, every week you come back to the same characters different story, and in comic books every week it’s the same characters, different story.
