It's funny that he was willing to make a major change to the past (saving NY), and to hell with the consequences, yet saving the life of one man (Sulu) is something that's too chancy on the space-time con-tinuum? lol (the hyphen is there because the board thought I was saying something dirty the other way...ha) So yeah he saved NY all right, but the new future might be much worse (the one Peter visited). Way to go, Future Hiro. lol

The point wasn't about the space-time continu-um it was about making sure Hiro understood that he shouldn't play God. By honoring Kaito's wishes, Hiro allowed for free will, Kaito was free to choose his own destiny. If Hiro had saved Kaito against Kaito's own wishes, then he would have been playing God. This is in contrast to Matt, who in the very same episode, is playing God, making people do what he wants them to do, at every turn (Molly, his boss, Angela Petrelli).Last edited by 4Clana; 11-25-2007, 06:54 PM.Comment

Very well said 4Clana, loved the analogies.
And yeah Matt's shaping up to be quite the "anti-Hiro" isn't he, lol he was scum in Five Years Gone, chances are he'll be scum again (maybe not as scummy, but still dirt). heh (Funny thing is he didn't really seem more powerful in that future...he was just doing basic mind reading, that's it...hmm wonder why)
Oh, and I hope Sulu's last words are "Beam me up, God." lolLast edited by Xanderman; 11-28-2007, 01:06 AM.Comment

Don't the advancements just come with time? If someone else with the power was required to trigger them in some way or whatever, then how did his father ever get more powerful? Surely in five years time Matt would have gained/discovered his new abilities on his own, meeting/interacting with his father or not.Comment
