Kristen Bell is just wrong for the part, imo. Bad casting. (Go home Nancy Drew. You're not scary.
) Her acting so far has been just plain bad...it was like she wasn't even trying.
She played a really great knock-off of Buffy/Sarah Michelle Gellar on Veronica Mars, but she doesn't seem to be able to pull off "villain" very well...or "grown-up" for that matter.
Another thing, the Elle character reminds me a lot of the blond villain from Supernatural's first season, Meg Masters (now THERE was a great villain-actress). Both are/were following their evil daddy's orders, lol. So there's nothing too original or clever about the character so far, and Bell's sub-par acting certainly didn't help matters.
