2007 Krytonsite Fan Fic Awards!
2007 Kryptonsite Fan Fiction Awards
Welcome to Krytonsite’s first ever "official" Fan Fiction Awards. We are very excited to be working with some of our fellow members to bring you this event. Our members produce some of the best fiction in Smallville fandom (no, we’re not biased at all), and we look forward to seeing these works recognized.
Since this is the first time we have done this, we will need your help. Participation is the key. Without nominations or voting, this will not work. If you’re a lurker, come out for just a bit and nominate a story that you love, then vote when the time comes. We promise we won’t bite.
The Guidelines:
Ineligible works:
1)Works in Progress (works must be completely finished at the time of nomination)
2)Real People fiction (any fiction about the actors themselves)
3)Works that are not posted on Kryptonsite
4)Non English works
5)Anyone caught cheating, such as ballot stuffing, campaigning or fancamping will be disqualified from the awards. Any fiction from those people would not be accepted and will be banned from any future Krytonsite awards.

We have combined some of the categories based on the number of stories in those threads. During the nomination process, if it is deemed necessary to include a new category, we will make that change so that all nominated works are treated fairly.
Nominations:
We will only accept nominations via Email. This is to determine that all nominations are valid and are not coming from various sock puppets.
Nominations must include the following:
1) Nominator’s valid email address and Kryptonsite user name
2) Title of work
3) Link of work
4) Author’s name
All stories must have at least 5 nominations in order to be on the ballot
In order to make this as fair as we can to everyone we have a few rules that shall not be broken:
1) No ballot stuffing. One vote per person period.
2) No campaigning. This will be considered fan camping and is cheating.
If any ballot stuffing, or campaigning is caught, that Kryptosite member will be banned from participating in any future awards. No exceptions. We want this to be a fun experience for everyone and breaking these two rules can waste everyone’s time and reduce the credibility of the winners. PLEASE NOTE: If a member is banned from the awards, that does not mean they are banned from Kryptonsite, unless they have broken the normal board rules.
Some Do’s and Don’ts:
1) Promote the awards to other members on the site, Livejournal, MySpace, or wherever you visit that is allowed by their site rules
2) Be Respectful! If you don’t care for a particular pairing or story, don’t vote on it or comment on it. Like the old adage says “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all”
3) If you are nominated, please let people know you have been nominated and thank them for their support. (You know you’ll be screaming from the rooftops anyway.

4) Discussion of works that you intend to nominate or vote for is allowed. Do not tell other people what they should or shouldn’t vote for (this will be considered campaigning)
More details will be provided at a later date in regards to voting. So put your thinking caps on and get ready to send in your nominations. Or if you’re an author, get those works in progress done in order to be nominated!
