Sam dies (I don't know how, but you can see it in the
screen shots that have recently been released), so
Dean summons a Red-Eyed Demon (played by Ona Grauer).
But because he's a Winchester, he doesn't get the ten
years normally afforded to those who make the deal; he
gets one year, at the most! Oh, and she makes a
reference to the Winchesters being well known where
she is from, or something like that, so apparently
John is in hell afterall (or the Demons can keep their
stories straight). [/SPOILER]

o thats cool. so part of it goes back to the cross road blues episode. yay for continuty. that seems like a cliffhanger to me unless they finish that at the end of the episode since there isnt supposed to be one. that would be a great cliffhanger. and based on that there will be some pretty interesting things dean would have to go through in season 3 since he has a year.

The next question is, of course, since Dean has a year left, does he figure out some way to cheat the demon and stay alive without losing Sam, or does he die at the end of S3 and then that's it for the show? Didn't Kripke say he had planned on having the show run for three years?

IF TRUE, oh man. The things this family does for one another.

I just wonder if that will be a big thing in S3, something like;

*Dean thinks Sam is carelessly/recklessly fighting the weekly evil stuff, putting his life in danger alot, and finally Dean snaps and yells at him, "I gave my life/soul to save you and you're continually being stupid and wasting my sacrifice!!". And then Sam realizes how/why he was able to come back to life and that creates emotional tension, similar to JW dying and then Dean telling Sam he might have to kill him later on.*

If Dean trades his soul for Sam to be alive, I would think Sam would be kind of pissed about it, considering that a) Dean has expressed anger over other people striking similare bargains in the past, and b) Sam thinks he's going to turn evil anyway, so he would probably not feel that Dean's sacrifice was worth it.

And oh the angst that would ensue from that...

he said he has storylines up to the end of season 3. there could always be more seasons just he has to think about what they will be about.
