That look had the "Clana love/underlying longing/desire for each other" written all over it. Next few eps will only confirm it.

And to those who say that Clark wouldn't want Lana back after Lex, she's damaged goods...MOD EDIT the dude is not that self-righteous.MOD EDIT it sure didn't stop him from wanting Lois Lane in certain versions of the comics after she was involved romantically with Lex Luthor.

I just think that its interesting that Lana claims she has moved on from Clark, and is with Lex now.... yet, she looked back. I dont think that the scene was as simple as it seemed. There was definitely a double meaning. Clana, anybody?

The final scene shows that Lana still has feelings for Clark, thats why she turned back to look at him.

Actually that kind of stuff happens in real life. You bump into your ex and you are still in love with him not knowing if he is still in love with you AND you stop to have this kind of awkward tension conversation with each other
and finally you end your conversation and start to leave. Then you look back just to get that last glimpse of him one more time. But then he looks back at you too. That is somewhat romantic. That was a perfect scene.

Besides, he picks Lois in the future. His standards aren't that high.
