  • Pictures - Inserting Pics in Your Posts

In order to insert a picture into a post on the boards, it must be hosted on the internet. But of course there's a catch!

We do not allow direct linking of pictures from other sites. This means that any picture you want to put up must be hosted on your own webspace. Anyone caught hotlinking will be immediately banned. It is common knowledge on the Internet that you don't steal bandwidth.

Here are a couple of free picture hosting sites that you can use to host your images:

The premium domain name myimgs.com is for sale. Make an offer or buy it now at a set price. Simple, safe and secure through

Lycos, Inc., is a web search engine and web portal established in 1994, spun out of Carnegie Mellon University. Lycos also encompasses a network of email, webhosting, social networking, and entertainment websites.

Post pictures using the Vb image code (take out the spaces):

    [ img ] url of the picture [ /img ]

PLEASE REMEMBER the site rules when posting images using the img tags. Kryptonsite has a strict policy that users NOT post limages larger than 200 pixels in any forum on the site. If your image is larger than 200 pixels then either: post it as a URL link and not as an image OR use your image hosting server to post only img tags to a thumbnail size of the image. If your image hosting server does not provide thumbnail size for message boards then you must either reduce the size of the image yourself or only post a link to it.

If your image does not show up when you use img tags, check to see if the img code is turned off in the particular forum. The img code has been turned off in several of our forums, therefore only a url link will show up when you try to post an image. Check the bottom left hand corner of the forum to see if the [IMG] code is ON or OFF.

If you have any questions, please do PM a moderator or post on the Help forums. Have fun!
