elow are the rules of this particular adult forum. With the exception of content and rating, all fic must comply with the general fan fiction posting rules outlined in this post at all times.
1. This forum is for Veronica Mars fan fiction ONLY. This means fan-written fictional stories involving the characters and mythverse of Veronica Mars. No art, no chatting, no word games, no poetry, no song filks, no anything else but FAN FICTION.
At this time, we cannot house adult fan art or music videos due to legal reasons. Please don't ask; please don't post 'em.
2. All stories that are "R" or "NC-17" need to be posted here REGARDLESS OF PAIRING, GENRE OR SUBJECT. Please see below to a link to the MPAA for guidelines about whether or not your story belongs here.
Some examples of subjects that would automatically qualify a story for being posted here include:

4. The subject of each thread should AT LEAST include "Story Title (Rating)". It can include more details like "Story Title (Rating, angst, drama, crossover)" but the title and the rating should be first to make it easier for people to find your stories.
5. All stories in this forum should indicate the pairings/combos in the subject line.
6. All stories MUST be rated in the template and in the subject line of the post.
7. All ratings must be appropriate to the story. We follow the MPAA guidelines for rating stories. If you're not sure how to rate your story, check out these guidelines. There are gray areas, but any story found to be rated grossly inappropriately (example: rating it G when it's hardcore porn) will be *removed* and the user will be banned outright.
8. You can post stories featuring any pairings in any genres (drama, humor, romance, episode vignettes, adventure), and any crossovers, as long as they are NC-17 or R rated.
9. You can post either the actual text of the story, or a link to another site where your story is linked. There is one exception illustrated below.
10. Do NOT link to a story on another message board. We'll allow links to any static archive or people's personal sites. If you need a place to host your stories, here are some suggestions in order of preference:

- FanFiction.Net (link)
- Any author's personal web site or story archive
- Any author's personal blog or journal
- Any Veronica Mars story archives. We don't know of any that exists, but if one should open up, y'all are welcome to use them to host your stories!
Check with us first if you're not sure. It bears repeating: YOU MAY NOT LINK TO A STORY POSTED ON ANOTHER MESSAGE BOARD.
11. You may only start a new thread for YOUR OWN stories. If you'd like to recommend someone else's story, please do so in the Story Recommendations thread tacked at the top of each forum instead.
12. As always, plagiarizers will be banned immediately and their stories deleted. No second chances.
13. Unfortunately the board-wide language censor needs to remain in place. With 17,000 members and less than a dozen moderators, we simply don't have the time to chase down every instance of bad language that would ensue otherwise. That means that "the 7 words you can't say on TV" (TM George Carlin) will probably still appear as asterisks when you type them out here. HOWEVER! Unlike every other section of this board, no one will be penalized for using masked variations of censored words in this forum. For example, sh1t or f*ck or whatever. That isn't allowed on any other forums on this board except the other adult fic sub-forums, but since everyone in this forum MUST BE 17 or older or has permission to see things meant for people who are 17 or older, then we're not going to have that rule here. We are currently looking for a vBulletin hack that will allow us to turn the word censors off for this particular forum, but in the interim, this is the best compromise we've got.
You are still not allowed to cuss EACH OTHER out though. That's still against the rules.
14. The following subjects are disallowed outright here on Kryptonsite in ALL FORUMS:
If you are going to post fic detailing graphic sex, violence and/or drug use, please be sure to indicate the age of the characters involved clearly in the story, so that we can tell if it is involving minors or not.
We reserve the right to add to or amend this list as we deem necessary.

- repeated use of "the F word", especially in reference to fornication
- Description of character's sexual body parts or bodily function in any level of detail

- Explicit descriptions of drug use

- "chan" or pedophilia - sexual situations between adults and minors
- pedo-erotica - sexual situations between characters under the age of 16, even if they are both consensual. This is ILLEGAL to read in many countries, including Australia.
- bestiality - sexual situations between humanoids and non-humanoids. Just say no to Veronica/Backup!
- links to other sites that contain the above topics.
