that would really suck. And the way smallville has avoided flying all 5 seasons that's probably the most likely thing that will happen. I think Jor-el will teleport him to the FOS through some portal and then lecture him a bit and return him to earth.

Clark can't breath in space. On an episode of Justice League, Superman had to wear a space suit to breathe, so if the PZ broke he'd die from lack of oxygen.
