They managed to give Helen Bryce her own storyline -- and she wasn't even in the main cast. It's a little annoying.

The reason why that worked so well was because she worked in the hospital and every episode someone goes to the hospital for some reason or another. I liked Helen though. I hope we also see her before Lexana is over. I think Lana working at Belle Reve as a co-op type program for her college (where a student gets paid to work in the field they're interested in) would give her some of her own stuff to do in S6.

I just think she should be treated there before working though, since she needs help and will need much more help once Cueball is through with her.

Clana...I am so tired of Clark saving Lana. Every time he does she gives the credit for saving her life to some one else. Lana has this horrible need to have a SAVIOR in her life.

I was hoping that when Lana & Clark broke up that she would learn that she doesn't need to have a man in her life, she has bounced from Whitney to Clark & now Lex.

Clark next time just let her get shot if she can't learn to stand up for her self.

The difference was the Clana started pretty strong. I'd argue that ship was pretty good for two and a half seasons. Lexana is just starting and it is already ter-ri-ble.

The ships only get worse as time rolls along and they need to drum up drama. That bodes very, very badly for Lexana and SV.

my thoughts on Clana and Lexana

Clana was tolerable to an certain point, then it just went into a downward spiral of pain and angst, and then got annoying, Clark stop saving her, she keeps saying that she's loves you, but her actions don't say that, stop being so stupid over a girl who keeps taking you for granted, let alone doesn't appreciate, respect or trust you!! she's holding you back, please let her go she doesn't deserve you, you're too good for her you're better off without her. Lexana was just sickening, beyond imaginable. why can't we just take out Lana? and leave in Clark and Lex? that is what the show is really about. besides I prefer the Clex anyways, although I would love the idea of Clark and Lex being potential lovers instead of being enemies. too bad MR and TW aren't gay in real life.

BOTH!!!! Clana is Smallville. Lexana is not. So it doesn't make any sense putting Lana with Lex. This is Smallville for heavens sakes! The show is called Smallville!!! it should be about Clark Kent and his journey into becoming superman!!!! not about lexana or Clana! This is not freaking Lanaville!!!!!!!! I'm sorry I am exasperated at the fact that these writers and producers are making this Lana character so important when she really isn't. What is wrong these people? they're freaken Lana worshippers. that is just sickening worshipping a female character that has no importance on Smallville who has no personality to her being some stupid love interest for Clark and with no other purpose on the show other than being Clark's love interest. so ****ing annoying. Sorry I swear when i get annoyed. runs in the family. so excuse my foul language. I didn't mean to swear honest.

So sure, change her wardrobe, but not her personality!!!!!! like we the viewers want you to. thanks a lot. (that was sarcasm by the way)

The show was never made about Lana. Every character has a purpose if they have an arc. Lana had an arc. Having romances was for character drama.
